Notes from a Witch

Halloween has turned into an EXTRAVAGANZA! I'm not sure if it is our doing, or if that blasted media/commercialized hype that we often buy into. Either way, I find that each year I'm dressing the kids up in full Halloween attire at least three or four times for various parties or gatherings. While it is not that hard to get into the costume, the make-up and accessories are time consuming. The worst part of it all is the removal of the face make-up, glitter, or colored hairspray. Am I the only one feeling like this?

Anyway, it was fun...and my girls were adorable. Take a look:

Abby is Sharpay from High School Musical...ever our DIVA!

Livvy was "Little Red Riding Hood" (Gothic Style)

She got too many compliments about the make up and is now thinking it would be cool to wear it regularly...alas, too young.

In the weeks before the 31st, I took the girls to my youngest cousin's baptism in Utah. We made our annual stop at Gardner's Village:

Potential models?

Even though it is a lot of work, I love dolling my girls up and watching them enjoy their time as children. So, to every other mom out there who dressed up a little goblin this year...I applaud you! Go raid those bags of leftover candy and know that you deserve that really good piece of chocolate...it may just keep you sane! (Now imagine me cackling like a witch;)
