Procrastination

I've been procrastinating writing a new post until I could catch up. After all, this blog is really to detail little things in my life that I find significant in hopes that my girls can read my thoughts someday. But...time has a funny way of escaping, and I procrastinate as this is really one of the least pressing things on the list.

However, I like to write; it frees my mind. Although, come to think of it, I got behind due to too much assigned writing:). Working on my master's degree had me writing a lot about subjects that did NOT do much to free my mind. Anyhow, I decided that it was time to resume my blog, not that anyone much cares, but for me to write to write. I will catch up and pepper my posts with events of the past months as I go, but today I'm just writing to write.

I went to the doctor to have my one month check for my heart repair in Utah. (It went well.) And as I drove home I was listening to a song that really defines where I'm at in my life. It is "Blessed" by Martina McBride. I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with the opportunities, experiences, and love that being a wife and mom have brought to my life.

I like this picture. I rarely like pictures of myself, but this was taken as I tried to urge my little Abby to cooperate for a photographer. I did not expect to be photographed, so I did not get ready as I would have if I thought I'd also be in the pictures. It's funny how that can happen...the best memories are often unplanned.

So, no more procrastination...I will seize each day! Carpe Diem!
